Yesterday, at the ISPO 2015 congress in Lyon, our colleagues Veerle Creylman, Luiza Muraru, Helga Vertommen and Louis Peeraer received the Forchheimer Prize for their paper "Gait Assessment during the initial fitting of customized selective laser sintering ankle foot orthoses in subjects with drop foot".
The Forchheimer Prize was established by the Forchheimer family to honour the memory of Sylvia and Alfred Forchheimer and recognizes the most outstanding paper on objective clinical assessment, clinical evaluation or clinical measurement published in Prosthetics and Orthotics International. Well done, colleagues!

The Belgian Government has made a presentation film about applied research at the University Colleges In Flanders in which amongst others our gait lab and the EKSO robot are covered. The film was first shown in public on May 12 in Flanders' House in New York, during a lunch meeting of university rectors and headmasters of university colleges together with Geert Bourgeois, prime minister of the Flemish Government.
